Politeness in Public Spaces

I work from home in the mornings and listen to children gurgle and burble and scream and shout on a regular basis in this sandpit. No problem with that, sometimes I wish I could join them! What’s most interesting for me is the number of buckets, spades and toy cars that are left out for the children to play with.


Who’s left them there? Who pays for the maintenance of the sandpit? I have no idea, but one thing I know for sure is that in England, or London at least, they would be stolen overnight if left out. I would bet my Guinness slippers on that.
