Warsaw

Interesting article from the Polish Trade and Investment Promotion Section on Warsaw's attractiveness to companies in Europe. It comes second in European cities that can expect the biggest influx of companies in the next 5 years.

The sense of a country in flux is tangible here with building works and infrastructure development everywhere. I wonder if I had lived here all my life how threatening or unsettling that would be. Ultimately, its to Poland's credit that it has adapted so well. There is a sense of sadness in Warsaw, once such a beautiful city - at one time reckoned to be more beautiful than Paris - but there is also a dynamism in the air that Paris now lacks.
