A little while ago I gave my reaction to the controversy - in some circles at least - on the publication of a book suggesting some Poles sifted through the mass graves of Jews looking for gold.
As a follow up to that post, I wanted to post this link to a story about a film released last December by Feliks Falk 'Joanna' exploring the issue of collaborating with and defying the Nazis during the Second World War.
My feeling remains the same: without darkness there cannot be light. Without collaborators we couldn't fully understand the bravery of fighting against a dictatorship, the bravery of fighting for principle, and all the range of emotions, decisions and experience between the two.
