Liverpool beaten by Stoke and now Torres is injured. Can it get any worse for Liverpool? Chortle, chortle.
If England doesn't get the 2018 World Cup it'll be for noble reasons, says Simon Jenkins. Couldn't agree more. Better to lose for the right reasons than descend to FIFA's murky and fecund level. Russian 2018 would be a bad idea, in my opinion.
