Brief but interesting section in the Radio 4 programme From Our Own Correspondent here about young Poles and Polish/German relations. It's true, there really is a sense of dynamism about young people in this country. They are incredibly ambitious and serious about it too. I find myself reflecting negatively on my lacksidaisacal approach to work as a young 'un. I am constantly impressed by peoples' desire to get on and get ahead, and it justifies for me the decision to live here and get to know it better.
If you are reading this and you happen to be a Polish person interested in current affairs or sports and learning English then the BBC Iplayer has a week's worth of high quality radio programmes which are available outside of the UK located here. They are an excellent resource for you and cure for my heimweh.

You will also find that a recent worldwide survey found that Polish people work the second most hours a week in the "Western World"! However, this is balanced out by the fact that they are also the second least effective in time management and application to work. I say Poland work harder and less. :)
