Was hoping to have a full post up this afternoon after catching a early afternoon flightback to Warsaw. Sadly this has been curtailed by the emergency landing of a LOT flight from Newark at WAW. Re-scheduled 0900 flight will get me in tomorrow instead- still easily beating the train or roads which will no doubt be horrific on All Souls' Day. The good News is no-one has been injured, unlike on the roads where 28 people have died over the holiday period. I count myself lucky to have returned my hire car skoda fabia (a joy to drove) after taking a day trip to Wałbrzych, Książ and the Project Reise tunnels. If this is the only thong that goes wrong then so b it.
Full return to blogging duty Will be coming soon.
Life is good

Update 1400 Wednesday
Arg! Having waited for two hours in a queue at Wroclaw airport (LOT phon lines are closed until 0900 and I had a feeling they would be a little busy today) we finally secured a re-booked flight for 1230. I'm mow regretting not goig by road or rail after all- if the opening time for the airport gets put back a third tome then I will book the bus for tonight. The confusion over the opening tome has been frustrating.
Update 0630 wednesday morning, woke up to fond my 0900 has been cancelled because the removal of the plane has taken longer than expected. Options? Take a 7 hour train and arrive at work Too late to really join work. Same if taking a bus and the same if driving. It's times like this when Poland's under developed infrastructure network ceases to be an amusing quirk and becomes a a pain in the dupa. Actually, recently, it's only being a pain in the dupa.
"a day trip to Wałbrzych, Książ and the Project Reise tunnels" - looking forward to some interesting posts :)
ReplyDeleteYes o love that area and the tunnels are in particular fascinating. However I need to have access to a pc (currently blogging off my iPhone) and the airport's opening yet again!!
